International Peace Corps Association’s President and eminent social activist Mr. Shasi Kumar met today Dr. Gyaneshwar Mule, popularly known as Passport Man of India and former High Commissioner of India to Maldives at his office, National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi. And congratulated him with a bouquet of flowers for his appointment to the National Human Rights Commission. As a 1983 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, Dr. Dyaneshwar Mule simplified passport service. While serving as a diplomat, he contributed greatly to India’s nation-building efforts – serving as Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, where he revolutionized the passport system by simplifying procedures and making it more accessible to the public; and Played a leading role in opening more than 400 new passport offices. People know him as Passport Man of India for his contribution.
